It would seem that this Forum contains an extremely large number of dead links — like even when excluding the Graveyard, there are actually more dead links than functioning links  😞

I use Sort By Date or Sort By Start Date, yet I get only a handful of working links, even at the top of the recency-sorted search results or subforum topics list. Maybe I look in the wrong subforums.

As an uploader, here's the rundown for why a lot of the mega content is deleted. Many don't know but Mega enforcing TOS and has been quietly deleting files for account inactivity and emailing users about inactivity or over-storage. 

There was a Great Mega Purge back in the late 2020 around Nov-Dec that your Mega account(s) was over your storage limit (at the time it was 15gb) they would get LOCKED / Deleted and it happen to me. 

If you go the pay route, pay for mega account you get all the goodies of bigger storage & no bandwidth limit. However, if someone reports your links / DMCA takedown theres a certain amount until Mega bans your account and removes all your content on said account. Why risk TBs of data if you your links reported?

Or you can created free mega accounts (15gb +35gb bonus for 30days = 50gb), fill the 50gbs, post the links then rinse and repeat. This was easy and you have accounts filled with way over the free storage like I had +50gb/15gb. Mega didn't do anything until they started enforcing it last year. They emailed a warnings (for months) you must free the excess data (35gb) or else. So I could've manually fixed my accounts but I have too many accounts and didn't want to choose which videos to keep/delete to free up the extra 35gb. Then they started locking accounts. Once your account is locked, its planned for data deletion at a certain date and can't edit your account files since its locked. I lost so many accounts (mostly my SPIZOO content and other stuff), but did save a few 15gb accounts. This is probably what happen to most uploaders on this site.

Before COVID, we had lots of uploaders and lots of posts. Now, most of those uploaders are gone or have their own private gdrive / teamdrive. (Google is gonna enforce their data storage in July 2022) 

Mega did bump the 15gb to 20gb free users this year and got rid of their bonus (+35gb for 30days).

I wrote a guide here to help keep mega accounts active, but it seems like most uploaders are gone or still don't know about it. This is not exempt from DMCA takedowns so please don't share links outside this forum.
